This privacy policy outlines how VapeEscape ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your personal information. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to being transparent about our practices.

What Information We Collect

When you use VapeEscape, we may collect the following information:

Account Information: Email address and display name (required for authentication and syncing)
Usage Data: Puff counts, timestamps, daily limits, streaks, quit plans, and goals
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports (for diagnostic and analytics purposes)

We do not collect:

Payment or credit card information (handled entirely by Apple)
Precise location data
Health data from Apple HealthKit
Advertising identifiers

Subscriptions and Payments

VapeEscape offers optional premium subscriptions to unlock additional features. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Free Trial: If a free trial is offered (currently 3 days), any unused portion will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely to:

Provide core functionality such as data tracking and analytics
Sync your data securely across devices via Firebase
Improve app performance, stability, and user experience
Send optional motivational notifications and reminders (with your permission)
Send promotional emails and progress reports (you can opt out anytime)
Provide customer support

Third-Party Services

VapeEscape uses the following third-party services to provide and improve our service:

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account:

Your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes
Some data may be retained longer if required by law

VapeEscape does not use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking. We respect your privacy and honor "Do Not Track" browser settings.

Age Restrictions

VapeEscape is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use this app or provide any information to us. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us to request deletion.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States (where Firebase servers are located). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable laws.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
